The difference between traction elevator, hydraulic elevator, and screw elevator

I Power structure

1. The traction elevator adopts the traction machine as the power source directly, which has relatively less loss in structure.

2. Hydraulic elevators use hydraulic pumps as power sources to push hydraulic cylinders to extend and retract to achieve lifting and lowering functions, which incurs certain losses.

3. Spiral rod elevators use screw elevators as power sources, which have relatively high losses and are prone to wear and tear.

II Lifting Structure and Safety

1. The traction elevator adopts a relatively simple direct lifting structure, which is pulled by a steel wire rope in the middle, and must be equipped with safety fall prevention devices and anti-collision devices.

2. Hydraulic elevators can be divided into straight top type and traction type: the straight top type has a higher cost but effectively avoids falling and toppling, while the traction type, like the traction type, relies on a steel wire rope to pull the middle ring and also requires anti fall and anti toppling measures.

3. Screw elevators achieve lifting and lowering based on the relative motion of the screw rod and screw nut, which is relatively safer.

III. Work Efficiency

1. Traction elevators have no intermediate links, low losses, and fast speeds.

2. The hydraulic elevator uses oil cylinder transmission in the middle link, which has certain losses and slower speed than the traction elevator.

3. Screw elevator, due to the relatively large relative motion loss between the screw and the nut, hinders the speed increase and the lifting is relatively slow.

IV Noise

1. The synchronous traction machine used in the traction elevator has relatively low noise.

2. Hydraulic elevators rely on pressure to achieve lifting and lowering, which increases the load noise of the motor and is relatively loud.

3. Screw elevators generally use screw type reducers, and the screw is usually a ball screw with relatively low noise.

V Maintenance and Malfunctions

1. Traction elevators generally have very low mechanical failures, while electrical appliances are currently in a mature technological stage with a relatively low failure rate. Maintenance is also relatively simple and easy to operate.

2. Although the technology of hydraulic pumps and hydraulic cylinders used in hydraulic elevators is relatively mature, there is still a hidden danger of hydraulic oil leakage, and the electrical data is relatively complex, especially with a slightly higher failure rate in the later stage. Maintenance is relatively complex and requires regular inspection of hydraulic oil quality issues.

3. Screw elevators are prone to mechanical failures in the later stages due to slightly faster wear and tear, and their electrical components are relatively simple.
